A key focus for KPMG’s GCT team is to help multinational groups and financial services clients manage their global tax compliance, reporting and statutory accounting obligations, through outsourcing, co-sourcing, transformation and technology.

The role involves working on clients of all sizes and across a wide range of sectors.

We are actively recruiting experienced individuals across the following areas:

  • Managed Services: provide compliance services to global clients across a range of tax, accounting, transfer pricing obligations under a managed service arrangement.
  • Technology: help clients leverage the right technology, tools and platforms to transform their tax function.
  • Tax Operating Model: collaborate with clients to build and operate a leading tax function, managing tax risk, opportunities, reputation and compliance.
  • Data Management: support client tax teams to maximise the use of data available in the organisation in order to effectively manage the Tax Function.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

At Director level you will be proactive, curious, committed and invested in self-development and learning. You will be resilient, able to flex and be experienced in leading a successful team. You will have excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail. You will network confidently and knowledgably communicate with all levels in a professional services environment. You will have strong business development client facing skills with a proven history of identifying opportunities and converting them into commercial projects.

Roles And Responsibilities:

You will be required to work within the team to accelerate the growth of our business. Specifically, key aspects will be to:

  • Build an internal network within the wider tax and advisory practices of our firm;
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with both existing and new clients;
  • Be confident interacting at the most senior levels internally and externally, while at the same time able to interact well with peers and other more junior members of the team;
  • Lead the business development process to progress leads to sales and taking responsibility for contract negotiation and agreement;
  • Lead the overall delivery of global and large UK tax and accounting compliance and reporting managed service projects;
  • Lead the implementation of managed service and transformation solutions to ensure the widespread adoption across their business units;
  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions to support the delivery of our managed service solutions;
  • Enable effective governance and issue resolution;
  • Support clients with broader tax operational areas including managing key risks and embedding controls, operating model design and identifying transformation opportunities;
  • Lead transformation projects ranging from redesigning processes to developing Centres of Excellence and upskilling client teams;
  • Identify opportunities of additional services that the client may need and liaise with subject specialists;
  • Coach and provide support for other team members;
  • Follow KPMG best practice and policy;
  • Have a positive and enthusiastic manner in dealing with a cross section of people;
  • Demonstrate strong resilience to enable flexibility in approach and ability to work under pressure;
  • Be an effective networker with ability to understand client needs.
