In the Finance Transformation team, we improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the finance function and generate real insights to help deliver value to the business. Our Financial Transformation practice is a priority area for significant and strategic growth. We work with leading corporate clients, focusing on understanding the core issues and opportunities to deliver value-adding change across their finance functions. The key drivers of change for our clients are technology implementations, an ambition to be more efficient and effective, and a desire to progress along the maturity curve.
What will you be doing?
- Mobilising and managing small to medium sized transformation programmes including planning, managing and executing the delivery of engagements.
- Organising work packages, overseeing data gathering and analysis, summarising insights and facilitating workshops to deliver on KPMG's scope of work for a programme.
- Maintaining a relationship with key client stakeholders, and collaborating with them to co-deliver a programme.
- Taking responsibility for identifying and managing risks, engagement assurance, and managing project budgets.
- Supporting Directors and Partners in ensuring that the Firm's risk management framework is appropriately implemented.
- Supporting the origination of opportunities for the firm through development of client relationships, and expanding existing engagements to address client challenges beyond the initial scope into further phases of work.
- Supporting senior colleagues with the preparation of the Firm's response to client issued request for proposal (RFPs), including managing RFP responses and drafting proposals.
- Building and leveraging both internal and external relationships to support senior colleagues to develop sales opportunities for the firm.
- Taking on performance management responsibilities for junior grades, contributing to annual talent reviews and supporting career progression.
- Contributing to formal training, knowledge sharing, and networking activities for the team.
- Supervising, coaching and reviewing the work performed by peers and colleagues.
- Acting as a mentor to colleagues within the team and in the wider firm, taking responsibility for cultural improvement and living the KPMG values.
What will you need to do it?
- 6 or more years' experience in the finance function of leading corporate companies, or client facing audit or consulting experience at a professional services firm.
- A proven ability to manage finance improvement projects in a leading finance function.
- A strong knowledge of core finance processes (e.g. record to report, procure to pay, order to cash, projects accounting) interdependencies with other processes.
- Experience with one of the major ERP technologies (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, WorkDay).
- A strong grasp of finance function operating models, including: systems, data, processes, controls and governance.
- Have people management experience, including line management and performance management.
- Experience in implementing finance change programmes.
This position will largely be based from London. With 20 sites across the UK, we can potentially facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours, and part-time options. If you have a need for flexibility, please register and discuss this with our team.
