Overview Assistant Manager – Product and Operational TaxesKPMG UK – Greater Bristol Area, United KingdomJoin KPMG\’s Asset Management Financial Services Tax Team. We are expanding rapidly and seek exceptional candidates to support a fast-paced, highly technical team delivering bespoke global tax services to major institutional investors and asset managers dealing with publicly traded securities. This role can be filled at Assistant Manager or Manager level and is supported by a collaborative leadership team.Responsibilities Master Technical Knowledge: Advise on operational taxes, including global withholding tax, capital gains tax, transfer tax, and related global tax compliance.Navigate Global Withholding Tax Relief Opportunities: Guide clients on WHT relief via ruling applications or tax reclaims under applicable tax treaties, domestic provisions, and/or claims under the European Court of Justice.Client Relationship Management: Manage large global client relationships and projects with professionalism.Collaborate Globally: Work with KPMG\’s worldwide network of member firms.Drive Business Development: Contribute to business development and proposals to attract new clients.Innovate with Technology: Develop new client solutions in collaboration with technology teams.Advocate Excellence: Represent KPMG with gold-standard service.Who We\’re Looking For Tax Compliance and Advisory Expertise: Experience managing tax compliance and advisory projects. Professional qualification CTA/ACA (or equivalent) preferred. FS or asset management tax experience not mandatory.Project Management Skills: Excellent project management and client-facing abilities.Passion and Resilience: Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Tech Enthusiasm: Interest in emerging technologies and evolving tax regulations.Innovative Thinking: Ability to create client propositions from new tax developments.Growth Mindset: Knowledge of tax matters for institutional investors and asset managers with publicly traded securities is not mandatory and will be developed in role.Locations and Work Arrangements Core hubs: London Canary Wharf, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh.
