Centralized Global Engagement Management services are vital for our global growth plans and will ensure the success of our GMS practice. The Global Engagement Management team is a network of professionals across the world who support our KPMG firms in their objectives of providing consistently exceptional services to our clients. The GMS GEMS team Assistant Manager will work under the guidance of GEMS Management to support global client engagements and remain updated on technical developments in areas like equity taxation, social security, transfer pricing, and more.
A secondary, but equally important, aspect to the role is focusing on the continuous development of our global processes and technology to support the consistency of high levels of service delivery across our client engagements globally. This is an exciting opportunity with scope for progression for the right individual. The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of tax matters, strong communication skills, credibility, and the ability to drive success within the KPMG network.
How you will make your mark:
- Acts as an ambassador for KPMG more broadly and can effectively and persuasively articulate the KPMG distinctions in formal and informal settings.
- Exhibits professionalism, poise, maturity and overall confidence to deal with tough client situations.
- Ensures ongoing satisfaction of clients by providing a seamless global coordination experience.
- Cultivates close professional relationships with local KPMG country teams and recognises the value of a strong network of colleagues to accomplish often complex or sensitive tasks.
This is the job if you have:
- Undergraduate University degree preferred.
- Certification/qualification in international tax would be an asset.
- Working experience within a tax of Global Mobility setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organised.
- Basic tax knowledge and general tax acumen beneficial.
- Strong professionalism and overall confidence.
- Highly efficient with technology/tools.
- Proficient communicator in written and spoken English (other languages advantageous but not required).
- Ability to build relationships/trust both with the internal teams and clients.
- Experience and ability to work with confidential material.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
