The KPMG Tax Technology & Innovation team is made up of Technology Consultants, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Architects & Engineers, Multi-disciplinary Engineering teams and IT Service delivery professionals working on a large portfolio of systems used to improve productivity and solve key business problems across Tax & Legal. This business has 2,500 tax & legal professionals covering multiple disciplines. We serve many thousands of clients and private individuals by providing a modern, market-leading suite of technology solutions that provide an efficient digital experience from routine to complex tax advice.
KPMG is investing $5bn over 5 years in technology and our goal is to achieve the highest standards of quality and to deliver excellent solutions for our clients. We are a team of 300 technologists providing technology enablement services and solutions across the Tax and Legal business.
As a Senior Data Analyst in the Tax Technology team, you will be an integral part of a team delivering analytics solutions to clients across KPMG's Tax & Legal practice. You will be working with a mixture of UK-based and India-based data engineers and data analysts and in this role you will:
- Play a key role in the design and implement high quality analytics solutions for internal and external clients.
- Work with teams of analysts using Alteryx and related tools to automate a variety of ETL and reporting processes for internal and external clients.
- Work with teams of BI Developers to develop visualisations, providing insights to our clients.
- Coach and mentor others to help them achieving their potential.
- Engage with a range of stakeholders, both internally and clients.
The role can be based anywhere in the UK, though preference will be given to candidates in London. Regular travel to London will be required.
What will you need to do it?
- Previous experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer.
- Recent experience using advanced analytics to solve complex business problems.
- Excellent knowledge of Alteryx, ideally with the Alteryx Designer certification.
- Experience manipulating large data sets.
- Awareness of data visualisation tools eg. Power BI, Tableau etc.
- Experience of SQL Server and/or Azure SQL and an understanding of SQL programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to logically analyse complex requirements, processes and systems.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, being able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras:
- Experience using the Azure data platform; Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse & Fabric.
- Programming experience using R or Python.
- Worked with Agile teams using Scrum or the Scaled Agile framework.
- Alteryx Advanced or Expert certifications.
