Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Building Client Relationships & Delivering Value: Develop strong, lasting relationships with our diverse client base. You'll be their trusted advisor, offering practical and commercially sensible tax advice that supports their goals – from handling day-to-day tax queries to shaping their long-term strategies.
  • Leading Projects with Impact: Guide your team in managing a fantastic variety of engagements. This includes overseeing key tax compliance activities that keep our clients on track, as well as spearheading bespoke advisory projects that help them navigate interesting tax challenges and achieve significant commercial objectives.
  • Innovative Problem-Solving: Apply your deep technical knowledge to deliver creative and effective solutions. You’ll tackle a range of exciting areas such as tax structuring, refinancing considerations, optimizing legal structures, pre/post transaction reorganisations, BEPS Pillar 2 assessments, and guiding clients through tax authority enquiries. You'll be at the forefront of providing innovative solutions in a constantly evolving global tax landscape.
  • Nurturing Our Team & Culture: Play a key role in shaping the future of our Corporate Tax team. This includes smart resource planning and performance coaching, but most importantly, you’ll be a role model for KPMG’s values, fostering an inclusive, positive, and supportive environment where everyone feels empowered and enjoys coming to work. You'll mentor and develop the next generation of tax professionals, helping them build their skills and reach their full potential in an encouraging atmosphere.
  • Growing Our Business Together: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating closely with our Directors and Partners. This involves contributing to compelling client pitches and spotting innovative ways we can help our clients with their evolving needs.
  • Collaborating Across the Firm: Work seamlessly with specialists in other departments and KPMG offices globally, bringing together diverse expertise to deliver comprehensive and outstanding tax advisory projects for our clients.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Professional Qualifications: ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualified.
  • Expert Tax Knowledge, Applied Practically: Proven, in-depth corporate tax knowledge, with a passion for continuous learning and applying your expertise to deliver insightful, commercially astute, and pragmatic advice across all aspects of corporate tax.
  • Inspiring Leadership & Team Development: Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and lead high-performing teams, manage senior stakeholders effectively, and cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and genuinely supportive team environment.
  • Curious & Analytical Mindset: Highly analytical with a practical, commercial approach to navigating various tax scenarios. You possess an inquisitive mind and meticulous attention to detail, enjoying the process of finding the best solutions.
  • Excellent Client & Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships efficiently, demonstrating exceptional communication (interpersonal, oral, and written) and teamwork skills.
