The role requires the ability to work across learning clients where multiple programmes in the portfolio require a strong understanding of the sector. The Commercial Manager is primarily responsible for managing the sourcing and competition of the appropriate supply chain to support relevant client engagements, driving the commercial outcomes of particular supplier partnerships through effective procurement and relationship management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers to support business needs.
  • Setting evaluation criteria to demonstrate the best outcome for clients.
  • Managing external relationships with client commercial teams.
  • Escalating issues to the Head of Commercial and managing upward effectively.
  • Ensuring that all supply chain activity is in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Managing day-to-day learning supply chain relationship responsibilities.
  • Proactively managing Intellectual Property Rights and associated risks.
  • Prioritising the workload of the team to support strategic objectives.

What will you need to do it?

  • Strong commercial acumen, ideally supported with formal procurement or supplier management qualification.
  • Extensive experience in running mini competitions and RfP exercises at scale.
  • Knowledgeable in contract law and Intellectual Property law.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to understand pricing of products and pricing strategies.

We are open to talk to talent across the country but our core hubs for this role are London and Canary Wharf. With 20 sites across the UK, we can potentially facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours, and part-time options.
