The Role

We seek an Associate Director to lead the design and delivery of work with infrastructure clients, drive business growth, and develop client relationships. Experience in developing pitches, proposals, and business development strategies is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of client engagements, including problem‑solving and complex storyboarding.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of concurrent engagements and lead teams.
  • Handle ambiguity and changing client demands while ensuring scope, budget, and timetable compliance.
  • Support people development: coach junior colleagues and lead diverse teams with an inclusive approach.
  • Build deep client relationships and act as a trusted adviser.
  • Identify and pursue cross‑sell and new business development opportunities aligned with the team plan.
  • Develop thought leadership and contribute to practice development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in consulting (Big 4/3, engineering consultancy, or client‑side).
  • Experience in the energy or water sector is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure sectors and operation of utilities and defence.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving, analytical and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and complex client demands.
  • Experience advising senior/executive stakeholders and translating policy into operating models.
  • Strong networking within infrastructure or government sectors.
  • High‑performance team leadership and inclusive management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
