KPMG Tax Reimagined helps you fundamentally rethink your tax function. With an operating model that goes beyond the traditional people-process-technology paradigm and supported by our market-leading Digital Gateway technology, we help you build and implement a tax function that is fit for the future.

Where companies need help to address fast-changing compliance requirements, through a combination of centralised and local delivery, our Tax Reimagined practice has the capability to help meet their compliance and transformation obligations, cost-effectively. The end state is a holistic solution combining a managed services or outsourcing model which integrates all compliance (direct and indirect tax, transfer pricing, tax reporting, statutory accounting) and an integrated tax transformation effort which leverages KPMG Powered Tax methodology. The solution may start with either managed services or transformation. Key to this is a single technology platform, KPMG Digital Gateway for data management, data analytics and visibility & control.

KPMG Tax Reimagined encompasses multiple solutions that come together to meet your exact needs in creating a tax function that is fit for today, and tomorrow.

Our people deliver Tax Reimagined through a combination of KPMG Regional Centres of Excellence and in-country teams, both of whom are supported by our KPMG Delivery Network (KDN). This brings together a wealth of local and regional experience relevant to businesses around the world. As our clients increasingly make global and regional decisions, the role of the Regional Centres of Excellence – in EMA, Latin America and Asia Pacific – is critical to bringing a globally consistent view to such engagements whilst working with in-country teams to understand the intricacies of local tax laws and resulting business impacts, and how to leverage opportunities and help minimise risks.

To maintain our market leading position, we need experienced and senior resources at the Regional Centre of Excellence. These individuals need to operate across the managed services and transformation spectrum, and are critical to pursuing, winning and shaping client engagements. Paramount to the role is an understanding of our Tax Reimagined propositions and an ability to work together with KPMG Member Firms to shape the client need, convert this into a clearly scoped engagement and lead the pursuit and set up of such engagements.

Role Responsibilities

  • This is a market facing role working with clients and lead KPMG Member Firms to frame discussions on managed services and transformation, lead or support the pursuit effort (targeting, formal RFPs) and lead the set-up phase of these engagements.
  • Lead Tax Reimagined engagements on key clients, partnering with lead partners and Solution Architects to initiate Tax Reimagined discussion and win engagements, with a particular focus on statutory accounting.
  • Shape and enhance the Tax Reimagined framework and assist in creating a formal structure around advisory services.
  • Proactively originate and convert statutory accounting opportunities for KPMG global compliance, tax transformation and related technology solutions.
  • Own competitive RFP processes end-to-end, from response development to stakeholder engagement, taking clients on the transformation journey.
  • Educate and coach colleagues to identify, qualify and elevate Tax Reimagined, global compliance and tax transformation opportunities.
  • Articulate the “art of the possible” to clients, explaining new features, functionality, best practice and emerging regulatory trends.
  • Challenge and influence CFOs, Heads of Tax and senior executives on tax function transformation strategy, scope, operating model and business case.
  • Lead onboarding and transition of new clients, managing cross-functional teams and overseeing global compliance, transformation and technology projects.
  • Design tailored Tax Reimagined solutions aligned to each client’s maturity, preferences and retained/outsourced tax and finance model.
  • Integrate KPMG’s tax and digital technologies into clients’ ecosystems, define future-state architecture and data flows, and collaborate across KPMG service lines to maximise synergies and leads from the rest of the firm’s book of business, e.g. Finance Transformation, M&A, re-location of business etc.

Skills, qualifications and experience

  • Significant Statutory Accounting experience within the global tax compliance and/or transformation space.
  • A collaborative, curious and improvement-focused approach, with an interest in innovation and technology.
  • A team player that shares experiences with others to assist their learning and understanding.
  • Builds the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge, experience and personal example at work and in our communities.
  • Experience of leading and delivering large global projects.
  • Clear and influential written and verbal communication, including the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage large and complex projects.
  • A commercial approach to resolving issues.
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in additional languages would be desirable.

This is a hybrid role split between working from the office, at home and client site. Candidates should be prepared and willing to travel regularly across Europe when required. We recognise this role covers many facets of global compliance and transformation. Applications from candidates with specialism in one or multiple areas of Global Compliance and Transformation will be considered.
