We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Associate Director or Manager to join our Corporate Simplification team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Members' Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) appointments and wider corporate simplification projects for corporate, private equity-backed and multinational clients. The role involves managing solvent wind-down engagements from initial planning through to dissolution, working closely with directors, tax advisors, solicitors and other stakeholders to deliver an efficient and high-quality service. The successful candidate will also support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the Corporate Simplification practice.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Client Delivery: Manage a portfolio of MVL and corporate simplification engagements from inception to completion. Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle. Manage multi-entity and cross-border simplification projects involving internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and review reports, statutory documentation, correspondence and engagement deliverables. Identify risks, issues and opportunities throughout engagements and escape where appropriate. Ensure all assignments are delivered in accordance with professional standards, regulatory requirements and internal risk management procedures.
  • Project Management: Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress against key milestones and deliverables. Manage engagement economics including budgets, WIP, recoveries and billing. Coordinate engagement teams and delegate work effectively to associates. Proactively identify and implement practical improvements to team processes, workflows and use of technology, with a focus on managing a large and growing portfolio of MVL engagements efficiently, consistently and to a high standard.
  • Team Leadership: Coach, mentor and develop associates within the team. Review work produced by associates and provide constructive feedback. Support recruitment, training and performance development initiatives. Promote a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Business Development: Assist in the preparation of proposals, pitches and client presentations. Build relationships with clients, intermediaries, solicitors, tax professionals and colleagues across service lines. Identify opportunities for additional services and cross-selling across the wider firm. Support marketing and thought leadership initiatives to enhance the profile of the Corporate Simplification practice.

We are a leading provider of restructuring, insolvency and corporate simplification services, supporting businesses, lenders, investors and other stakeholders across a broad range of situations. While we advise underperforming and financially distressed businesses on turnaround and restructuring solutions, we also support solvent organisations seeking to simplify their legal entity structures, reduce costs, unlock value and enhance operational efficiency. Our Corporate Simplification team specialises in delivering Members' Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs), solvent restructurings and legal entity rationalisation projects for domestic and multinational organisations. We work closely with boards, finance teams, private equity sponsors and other stakeholders to design and implement efficient wind-down strategies, helping clients streamline complex group structures and achieve their wider strategic objectives.
