A snapshot of your peer group:

  • A qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) (professionally trained Big 4 preferred)
  • At least 3 years previous work experience
  • Strong interest in Deal Advisory and M&A activity
  • Six month’s mergers and acquisitions experience would be ideal but not essential
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Advanced PC skills including Excel and PowerPoint (with others desirable)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, drive, enthusiasm and commitment are a pre-requisite for this role

  • Client facing interaction with senior decision‑making executives on a day‑to‑day basis
  • Undertaking business reviews and financial due diligence reviews on a wide variety of businesses
  • Preparation of detailed and high‑quality financial analysis supporting the delivery of the assignment
  • Leveraging analysis of financial information and other key performance indicators to provide structured insights to our clients
  • Working alongside and developing junior colleagues
  • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the wider Belfast Deal Advisory practice

Your team:

KPMG Transactions Services is the leading firm in Ireland in assisting clients in areas including financial, tax and commercial due diligence, pre and post deal evaluation, sell‑side assistance, financing and refinancing assistance, contractual discussions and integration. We assist our clients with capital markets transactions including initial public offerings, class 1 transactions, reverse takeovers and fundraisings. We work on project‑type engagements lasting from several weeks to several months, working extensively with significant corporates, domestic and international banks, other financial institutions, private equity and other investment funds offering team members the widest exposure to acquisition and financing related activity.
