Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of high-quality Payroll & Time Management deployment projects as an Engagement Manager.
- Provide specialist EC Payroll advice and work closely with client leads to optimise processes and maximise the benefits of HR through optimal solution design and configuration.
- Advise clients on the transformational aspects of SuccessFactors & Payroll in relation to HR operating model, service delivery, and relevant HR process execution (e.g., Employee Central, Time Management & Payroll).
- Contribute to business development and sales initiatives, including bidding, proposals and contract/commercial negotiations with SuccessFactors & Payroll clients.
- Lead the growth of the HR practice by sharing knowledge, developing thought leadership and supporting the career aspirations of team members.
- Advise on technical integration of SuccessFactors with other client and third-party applications such as payroll, benefits and finance systems.
- Advise on data migration and data integrity as part of the deployment engagement.
- Lead the implementation of Payroll programs for clients.
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the payroll capability, focusing on Employee Central Payroll (ECP) – shape go-to-market offerings, build reusable assets and accelerators, and support internal capability development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Leadership & Management
- Expected to be a role model to the wider team by showcasing KPMG values and principles; lead from the front and by example.
- Assist with goal development and coaching of staff to enable the growth of the junior management team within the practice.
Stakeholder Interaction & Challenges
- Liaise with stakeholders across the People practice, cross-collaborate with other teams, and ensure opportunities are shared and explored to maximise our offering to clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong commercial acumen, strong desire to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience successfully delivering Employee Central Payroll & Time programmes for 5+ end-to-end deliveries.
- Advanced functional understanding of SuccessFactors, Payroll & S/4HANA HCM components, including configuration experience of Employee Central Payroll and other modules.
- Experience in HR leading transformation projects, leading workstreams and managing teams, with 5+ end-to-end deliveries as Delivery, Functional or Team Lead.
- Demonstrable knowledge of HR processes and how they map to all key SuccessFactors modules – hire to retire, including newer capabilities in skills and AI.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and owned key client leadership relationships during previous deliveries.
- Comfortable with Agile and Waterfall methods of working; leverage SAP tools/accelerators to support deliveries and, preferably, experience with non-SAP tools to streamline delivery (e.g., configuration, data migration).
- Excellent documentation, reporting and presentation skills.
- Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues and synthesise large amounts of information.
- Experience in a functional and/or technical role in a business or systems delivery environment, preferably in the HR sector, with solution architecting experience covering all technical aspects – environments, data, integration, module phasing, reporting/analytics cut-over and go-live planning.
- Experience producing project deliverables (business requirements, functional specs, configuration documents, process flows, use cases, requirements traceability matrices, etc.).
- Ability to effectively transfer knowledge and flex the approach according to the situation.
- Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and experience.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with varying team members.
- Experience as a configuration expert and/or project manager of enterprise software deployments.
- Travel required (up to 80%).
