Key Service Areas
- BEPs: Help clients transform their operating model, processes, systems, and data in preparation for Pillar 2.
- Pillar 2 Managed Services: Provide compliance services to global clients across a range of tax, accounting and transfer pricing obligations.
- Technology: Help clients leverage the right technology, tools and platforms to transform their tax function.
- Tax Operating Model: Collaborate with clients to build and operate a leading tax function, managing tax risk, opportunities, reputation and compliance.
- Data Management: Support client tax teams to maximise the use of data available in the organisation to effectively manage the Tax Function.
The role is based in Canada Square, London, with location flexibility considered.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall delivery of tax transformation and technology projects, often within a wider finance transformation programme.
- Design, build and deploy automation solutions that cater to tax requirements across multiple countries.
- Support clients in designing systems that meet tax requirements optimally.
- Collaborate with Tax Transformation, GCT, and other KPMG teams such as Consulting.
- Develop robust global governance and control frameworks.
- Develop our service offerings and delivery models.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage managers, assistant managers and offshore resources, ensuring quality output.
- Identify opportunities for additional client services and liaise with subject specialists.
- Provide coaching and technical support to team members.
- Follow KPMG best practice and policy.
Qualifications & Skills
- Deep tax compliance, automation and reporting expertise, particularly around indirect taxes, including EMEA compliance.
- Familiarity with end‑to‑end finance processes (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record‑to‑report) and their integration with tax.
- Experience advising on tax technology and implementation, including requirements gathering from a tax, IT and user interface perspective.
- Tax transformation experience, including governance, process design and improvement.
- Project management and client engagement management experience.
- Knowledge of data management, SQL, data transmission and transformation.
- Analytical skills for large data volumes and cloud‑based application design from a tax perspective.
- Experience acting as a functional translator between technology and tax teams.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- A willingness to demonstrate resilience, accountability, flexibility and leadership in managing significant engagements.
- Recognised qualifications such as ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent. Project Management certifications and Lean Six Sigma are welcomed.
