The KPMG Beyond Marketing Manager will work across the platform with a focus on always-on campaigns, content, communities, and events. Working closely with the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, the individual will lead on the development and delivery of the Beyond Marketing strategy and business engagement plan. The individual will sit as part of the Programme Management team in the CAM Function.

What will you be doing?

  • Working in close collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager, you will share client insights to drive change and best results as well as help to shape the marketing strategy and drive market activation.

  • Working with the wider marketing team to ensure all programmes are joined up, sponsored, and delivered on time and on budget

  • Draft third party briefs and seek required client insights, business input and competitor insights as part of the content and event development process

  • Ensure effective project management and budget control including forecasting and reporting

  • Coordinate and work alongside third parties, partners and other internal teams and ensure we best use their skills and capabilities

  • Managing suppliers including contract negotiation within budget and invoice settlement

  • Working closely with Programme Management Senior Managers to develop and deploy marketing and strategic relationships programmes

  • Input and manage relevant elements of project management and resource allocation

  • Develop marketing campaign plans to deliver against business objectives and campaign brief requirements

  • Ensuring the platform communities are kept up to date and vibrant – helping stakeholder curate their community spaces

  • Good digital event skills including hosting on key platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom or SpotMe) with proven stakeholder briefing and platform management skills. This includes working autonomously where appropriate on location or virtually at events with the ability to manage stakeholders, interact with clients and address issues that arise.

  • Engage and manage business stakeholders to ensure we leverage the benefit and impact of marketing and event activities. Including capturing feedback, input into content and messaging and internal engagement.

  • Acting as an ambassador as to the capabilities of the Marketing function to internal clients and stakeholders to help design and co-ordinate compelling content, participation in Communities, either through engagement or recruitment as well as driving a compelling event schedule.

  • Responsible for supporting the delivery plan and its development including assessing creative, developing content, messaging, and supporting stakeholder communications to ensure the effective delivery of the marketing plan.

  • Ability to co-ordinate activities across multiple stakeholders, channels, programmes, and activities prioritising both your own and other colleagues’ focus to ensure we hit agreed timelines.

  • Working with the Senior Manager, the role will help to safeguard the ‘KPMG Beyond’ brand and will ensure that any and all produced ‘content’ is in line with the platform ambitions, the Beyond tone of voice, and remains in line with client feedback ensuring all activity is value adding for our clients to read, interact or engage with.

  • In addition, you will be required to support the preparation of presentation materials, statistics for inclusion in the various forms of stakeholder engagement., We are open to talk to Marketing Managers in the Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds area as this is where the team is based.

  • Proven experience of working in the marketing function of a large business organisation

  • Previous experience of marketing in a professional services organisation is desirable

  • BA university degree or equivalent.

  • Highly proficient in all MS Office packages.

  • Knowledge of CRM and marketing campaign systems.

  • Experience in supporting large scale, live client events and workshops from a technology and content perspective.

  • You will be able understand the commercial drivers for the business and identify how the events/hospitality activity is tasked to support these.

  • Previous experience of marketing to mid-market, fast growth and privately held businesses or the interest and ability to become deeply engaged in the client issues, themes and broader market context for these businesses is essential to be successful in this role.

  • Experience working on a digital platform preferred, but not required

  • Previous experience of working with third parties and the creative briefing process.

  • Experience of negotiating with third parties.

  • Experience of engaging business stakeholders.

  • Experience of line management.

  • Familiarity of using brand visual identity toolkits and guidelines.

  • Able to apply risk and compliance processes effectively.

  • Good experience with event platforms and tools.

  • Expertise around marketing campaign development processes, managing budgets and assessing the effectiveness of marketing spend.

  • Familiar with brand management, proposition development and principles for content and editorial strategies.

  • Proficient with digital, event, content, performance marketing and account-based marketing approaches and principles.

  • Able to engage and manage stakeholder relationships throughout the campaign development process.

  • Good at translating complex or technical themes into clear and compelling messaging for both internal and external audiences.

  • Understanding of how marcomms can be adapted and tailored to address business objectives and marketing strategies – from enhancing brand, relationships, or revenue-generating activities.

  • Able to develop a good understanding of the business area, its commercial drivers, and the role of marketing to enable these, * Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a complex and matrix environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to developing high quality work.

  • Strong analytical ability to review data, content, market trends, insights, and report to multiple stakeholders.

  • You will be a capable and creative verbal and written communicator, able to present well to colleagues across both marketing and business teams.

  • Proven and strong project and event management skills – ability to drive multiple tasks forward in parallel under significant pressure.

  • Creative and innovative with a strong grasp on existing and emerging digital technologies

  • Inquisitive about the business, economic, political, and social issues prevalent within the UK, Europe and internationally

  • You will also be able to offer constructive commentary on some of the platform’s marketing programmes for the Mid-Market as viewed from the public domain and offer suggestions as to how you might drive commercial success through marketing.
