Graduate Audit - Accounting Advisory and Assurance in Manchester

Life as an Accounting Advisory and Assurance graduate. We're a specialist team that helps businesses tackle a wide variety of complex accounting issues and offer the broadest range of advice. We give confidence by delivering assurance over non-financial areas. This allows businesses to adapt to demands, improve financial performance and act in the most sustainable way.

You’ll join one of the four following areas:

• Accounting Advisory Services: Offer guidance to businesses on the latest developments in accounting standards, translating their complex accounting issues into clear and expert advice.
• Sustainability Assurance: Help businesses meet the assurance requirements of rapidly changing regulatory standards, examining topics from greenhouse gas emissions to waste, human rights, diversity and other non-financial metrics.
• Controls Assurance: Assess how well clients operate their business processes, helping them become aware of potential risks and build customer confidence. This may involve reviewing technology processes such as system access, data security and cyber resilience, or operational processes like investment management and payroll.
• Transactions Assurance: Support businesses in preparing for major transactions like mergers, acquisitions or listing on a public stock exchange.

Whichever team you join, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with other KPMG teams including Financial and Technology Audit, Transaction Services, Consulting, Corporate Finance and Tax.

In Accounting Advisory and Assurance, we offer the ACA Accelerated Programme or equivalent CA (Scotland locations) qualification. This front-loaded programme uses innovative technology and is delivered via a blend of online and in-centre classroom courses, enabling you to upskill quickly.

For the first year of your training contract, you will focus purely on your professional qualification, completing 12 out of 14 ACA exams. You will also have opportunities to reconnect with your home department and peer group, as well as complete internal training and professional development skills sessions. The entire programme is supported by your tuition provider (BPP) and KPMG's dedicated Early Careers Development team.

If you join a Scottish office, we support the equivalent CA qualification, allowing you to study towards your ICAS. This newly designed programme enables you to sit the majority of the ICAS exams in your first year, providing innovative technology to support your learning experience and enabling you to upskill quickly.

On this programme, you’ll study for the ACA qualification, or CA equivalent in Scotland, which will help you develop valuable technical skills, broad commercial understanding and in-depth knowledge of different industry sectors, empowering you to build an exciting and varied long-term career.

Requirements include ACA or CA equivalent (Scotland locations), GCSE Maths Grade 5 or B, GCSE English Language Grade 5 or B, 120 UCAS points from your top 3 A Level grades (excluding General Studies), and a 2:1 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
