We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to join our rapidly expanding Corporate Treasury Services team. Our team is a Global Centre of Excellence focused on serving the world’s leading Treasury functions with complex business challenges, delivering deep expertise in financial products, markets, risk management, systems and technology, governance, valuation and accounting.
Responsibilities
- Work in teams delivering treasury transformation projects, system and technology projects, risk management and treasury advice, technical accounting advice (for non‑audited entities) and supporting statutory audits as a specialist.
- Lead the selection, implementation and configuration of treasury systems and technology, including the development of AI tools and agents.
- Conduct risk‑management assessments covering foreign exchange, interest rate, credit and commodities.
- Provide specialist support to external audit teams, including derivative valuations, hedge accounting, and financial instrument classifications.
- Conduct internal audits on treasury functions ranging from Global FTSE100 to Housing Associations and Charities, including benchmarking.
- Deliver technical support on accounting and regulatory change projects such as IFRS 9, IFRS 18, and ISO 20022.
- Lead marketing initiatives, including presentations and thought‑leadership collateral.
- Support the business development of client propositions, build strong relationships with clients, vendors and banking partners, and lead new proposals.
- Performance‑manage junior team members, ensuring rich development conversations that support their growth and career progression.
- Actively contribute to Treasury and AAS strategies, team management and other non‑delivery aspects of the role.
- Accountability for leading teams, providing technical, risk & compliance management; operational and quality management support; overseeing project management, budgeting and planning; senior stakeholder management; and analysis and delivery of quality reports.
- Participate in tenders or proposals and undertake other performance‑management responsibilities.
- Work at or visit client sites and other KPMG offices as required.
Qualifications
- Hold an up‑to‑date professional qualification to apply relevant knowledge and expertise.
- Experience in a Corporate Treasury function with strong technical knowledge of financial instruments, risk management, treasury strategies, systems, governance and controls.
- Experience within a treasury or accounting advisory function of a professional services firm or a corporate business sector.
- Experience leading marketing propositions around treasury specialist topics relevant to clients and audited entities.
- Experience with treasury technology solutions and systems, including AI.
- Technical knowledge of IAS 39 and IFRS 9 standards and their practical application.
- Willingness to travel internationally to grow the global practice and deliver international projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, coach and mentor junior staff.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering high‑quality, complex projects with stakeholder deliverables.
- Business development experience with new and existing clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly effective stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective problem‑solving skills and pragmatic decision‑making.
- Self‑driven and resilient, able to thrive in a high‑pressure environment.
- A professional accountancy qualification from a recognised accountancy body, and a paid‑up membership of the body with which you qualified.
