Overview
Sitting within the Global Mobility Service practice, the Global Compensation Services group uses market‑leading technology solutions to manage the global compensation collection process for internationally mobile employees. The role supports KPMG’s Global Payroll Manager (GPM) – a fully automated web‑based solution that transforms assignee data to produce reconciled host payroll instructions for mobile workforce members.
Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day management of the team and oversight of data management, including capture, manipulation, formatting, consolidation, validation, reconciliation, storage, analysis and reporting.
- Project management and implementation of new and existing clients into GPM.
- Enhanced data capture and manipulation across multiple sources; automation of manual tasks; testing new processes; reconciling and validating data output.
- Tax technical oversight in global mobility, including cross‑border payroll and withholding compliance.
- Coordinate payrolls in the UK and/or other locations; liaise with clients’ HR, internal payroll and outsourced payroll teams.
- Work closely with the Tax Technology team to ensure best practice and develop tax rules for technology build.
- Maintain ownership of KPMG’s web‑based client portal and manage user acceptance testing.
- Manage the payroll process, including payroll instructions and funding reports; load, map, and download client instructions to the global coordination database or to GPM.
Qualifications
- Advanced Excel and Access database skills.
- Experience working at a professional services firm or an expatriate payroll vendor.
- Experience managing international assignees and overseas payroll.
- Ability to manage multiple projects to strict deadlines.
- Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Team player with self‑motivation and a “can do” attitude.
- Disciplined in process documentation and able, when needed, to work extended hours.
