Responsibilities
- Lead Digital Transformation: Drive the shift to digital for Direct Tax, Statutory Accounting, and Bookkeeping, including standardising processes and building a client‑focused culture.
- Develop and Launch Solutions: Oversee the design, testing, and rollout of new digital offerings, working closely with global technology teams and member firms.
- Champion Innovation: Stay ahead of market trends in tax technology and automation, ensuring KPMG remains a leader in the field.
- Drive Growth: Support global sales efforts, contribute to go‑to‑market strategies, and help win new business opportunities.
- Ensure High Performance: Oversee quality, risk management, and continuous improvement across delivery teams, while managing key stakeholder relationships and representing KDN in global forums.
- Manage Financial and Operational Excellence: Take responsibility for financial performance, resource planning, and effective execution of engagement management, including productivity targets and business continuity planning.
Qualifications
- Respected client‑facing partner or director in corporate income tax, statutory accounting, and/or bookkeeping for global clients.
- Prowess for the importance of and urgency in KPMG's digital transformation of direct tax and its feeder elements.
- Strong team leadership skills, including navigating political issues with senior stakeholders.
- Business/commercial mindset – experience with running a P&L.
- Compliance/process mindset with comfort speaking to (and selling) technology automation.
- Available to work during odd hours as required, given the nature of this global role.
- Pathfinder able to navigate complex obstacles within KPMG network as we advance centralised delivery for Direct Tax, Statutory Accounting, and associated Bookkeeping.
- Ability to travel internationally at 30% of the time.

KDN Tax & Legal works closely with KPMG’s global tax and legal teams to deliver consistent solutions worldwide. Each global service line has a dedicated leader at KDN, who acts like a “mini‑CEO” for their area. This leader is responsible for driving digital transformation, improving client experience, and ensuring strong business performance. For the GCMS (Global Compliance Management Services) area, the Solution Lead oversees services such as Direct Tax, Statutory Accounting, and Bookkeeping. They also help develop new, standardised offerings for KPMG member firms. The Solution Lead works closely with global and local leaders, represents KDN to clients, and is part of the global leadership team. Given the size and complexity of the business, this is a full‑time executive role. Success depends on strong leadership, collaboration across KPMG’s network, and a focus on digital innovation to help KPMG lead the market in outsourced tax compliance services.
