We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Tax Technology & Innovation team. This role will be based anywhere in the UK – preference will be given to candidates in London – and will require regular travel to London. While prior tax domain knowledge is not required, you should be able to quickly acquire domain expertise over time.
Job Overview
The KPMG Tax Technology & Innovation team is a multidisciplinary group of technology consultants, business analysts, product owners, data architects & engineers, and IT service delivery professionals. We develop and deliver innovative technology solutions across Tax & Legal to help our clients meet their tax obligations efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer.
- Recent experience using advanced analytics to solve complex business problems.
- Excellent knowledge of Alteryx, ideally with the Alteryx Designer certification.
- Experience manipulating large data sets.
- Awareness of data visualisation tools – e.g. Power BI, Tableau.
- Experience with SQL Server and/or Azure SQL and an understanding of SQL programming.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to logically analyse complex requirements, processes and systems.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, being able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
Additional Skills
- Experience using the Azure data platform; Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse & Fabric.
- Programming experience using R or Python.
- Worked with Agile teams using Scrum or the Scaled Agile framework.
- Alteryx Advanced or Expert certifications.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the design and implementation of high‑quality analytics solutions for internal and external clients.
- Work with teams of analysts using Alteryx and related tools to automate a variety of ETL and reporting processes for internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with BI developers to develop visualisations, providing insights to our clients.
- Coach and mentor others to help them achieve their potential.
- Engage with a range of stakeholders, both internally and with clients.
