Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery role, managing small teams of advisors and auditors to a wide range of general insurance companies, in the Retail and Commercial sectors, including within Lloyd's and the London Market.
  • The entities that KPMG work with range from FTSE100 and global (re)insurers to smaller specialist insurers.
  • You get the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from pricing transformations to governance to data enrichment.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate is expected to be a newly or near qualified actuary.
  • Degree in a numerate discipline; actuarial qualification preferred.
  • Proven track record in analytical or pricing leadership with experience in the London Market.
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial with the ability to bring clarity and structure to challenges that have not yet been solved.
  • Excellent technical and modelling skills, with proficiency in pricing tools, large data analysis and portfolio management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to audiences without technical backgrounds.
  • Solid understanding of London Market business.
  • 3 years + experience in pricing for London Market insurance.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial modelling and pricing using Hx Renew.
  • Proven experience in pricing model or technology transformation programmes.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and data requirements.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to pricing governance.

  • Previous experience gained within a consultancy, but we are open to considering Qualified Actuaries who come from within the General Insurance industry, but can demonstrate the abilities needed to work supporting senior management efforts to cultivate and maintain target client relationships, including assisting with proposals and the development of sales materials.
