We are looking for an experienced Director to join our Global Mobility Services (GMS) leadership team in the South (Reading or Bristol). GMS is a fundamental part of KPMG's People Taxes practice and is currently enjoying accelerated growth and numerous exciting opportunities. This is a high-profile market-facing leadership role, focused on delivering a strong pipeline across a varied large Corporates and National Markets client portfolio.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Extensive Global Mobility technical expertise to lead and oversee multiple and concurrent complex global mobility compliance and advisory projects, with the contribution of cross-service line specialists, as appropriate.
- Drive origination / business development activity across the South Region and client portfolio, identifying opportunities to grow market share, strengthen client relationships and create sustainable revenue growth working with existing Partner/Directors.
- Lead senior client relationships (corporate and senior stakeholders/assignees) to deliver complex UK and global mobility engagements and advice across the client portfolio.
- Accelerate collaboration across GMS, ES and the wider People Tax practice, ensuring clients benefit from the full breadth of KPMG's capabilities
- Develop and maintain a credible and influential profile in the Global Mobility market and adapt business strategy in response to changing client demands and external trends.
- Develop revenue growth plans for both existing and new clients.
- Oversee commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement (e.g. fee proposals, budget, fee collection) and ensure these are managed effectively to achieve expected levels of quality and profitability.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key senior/board members of existing or new clients.
- Network with clients and relevant professional bodies and associations.
- Drive the continuous development of the team, ensuring the skills, knowledge and capabilities required to meet current and future business needs
- Share deep knowledge of current market and competitor trends and activities.
Qualifications:
- ACA/ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent.
- Extensive experience working in Global Mobility Services in a senior leadership role, including leadership of local teams preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to build long standing, trusted relationships with clients across a range of sectors.
- Demonstrable success in leading business development, including RFPs, and market origination activities, with the ability to convert opportunities into sustainable client relationships and revenue growth.
- Experience leading client service teams on a variety of projects, including the ability to work with SME's across global mobility and wider People Taxes to ensure high quality, seamless, coordinated services are delivered across the client portfolio.
- A track record of taking ideas and solutions to market and converting them into client engagements.
- Ability to identify and address market opportunities, build delivery capability and drive cross-service collaboration to support strategic growth objectives, including working with SME's across global mobility and People Taxes.
- Experience of involvement in workforce planning and building capability in teams.Extensive experience of coaching, mentoring and performance management to attract, develop and retain colleagues.
- Strong working knowledge of key regulatory, ethics, and independence rules relevant to a Big 4 accounting environment.
- Experience of leading client proposals, including negotiating contractual positions, agreeing global fee schedules and managing inter-office contractual relationships
