New domestic laws, international reform, updated processes and technology mean tax is becoming ever-more complex and that demand for our services is rising rapidly. Tax has also sharply risen up the public and political agenda in recent years, with a noticeable shift towards increased transparency and tougher scrutiny by government authorities across the world.

Working in our Corporate Tax teams, you will help your corporate clients adopt responsible and sustainable approaches to tax that will not only deliver compliance, but also support their wider commercial objectives and enhance their growth. You can look forward to working alongside the best technical specialists, sector and industry experts to add value in a range of areas, including Global Compliance and Transformation, Corporate Tax Advisory and Compliance, International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Deal Advisory Tax and Claims & Incentives across all sectors and markets.

With a UK network of more than 200 Indirect Tax specialists, supported by a global network of 1,500 professionals across over 100 countries, we are home to one of the UK’s leading Indirect Tax practices. Our diverse portfolio of household names and smaller clients covers sectors such as Financial Services, B2B, B2C, Real Estate, Private Equity and many others. We frequently work collaboratively with other KPMG services.

Join us, and you will provide advice and support across a range of issues – our expertise spans the various indirect schemes in the UK, including VAT, customs and green taxes. That will involve working closely with your clients to understand their businesses, ensure they meet their indirect tax obligations and manage any issues arising from the application of relevant legislation. Whatever your role, you can expect to make a significant impact as you advise clients on how indirect taxes affect their cash flow and, crucially, their bottom line.

In a constantly changing and high-profile field, our national People Taxes practice offers a broad range of career paths. The practice encompasses a wide range of areas across three teams:

  • Our Global Mobility Services (GMS) team provides a single source of advisory and compliance experience covering all aspects of global mobility and international assignments.
  • Employment Solutions (ES) spans Reward Consulting, Employment Solutions and Pensions, delivering services ranging from payroll and HMRC compliance through to valuation services.
  • We also have a Technology team that provides tools to support clients in the areas of both GMS and ES.

Our Family Office, Private Client and Reward (FOPC&R) team provides support for high-net-worth individuals, trustees, executors and shareholders in both advisory and compliance matters; multijurisdictional advice on residence and ‘non-domicile’ matters, reward consulting services; and tax valuations. This is a constantly changing and increasingly high-profile field which will open up plenty of possibilities for your ongoing development and progression. Life in this team gives you the opportunity to develop relationships with a variety of clients, from the executives of multinational firms through to professional sports people, entertainers and senior members of private equity firms. The work you do will be varied too, covering a mix of advice and compliance services.

Technology is at the forefront of delivering excellence for our clients. Our Tax Technology and Innovation (TT&I) team delivers technology and services to colleagues across our Tax and Law teams, as well as to external clients. We design and deliver data and automation solutions to our clients and KPMG business areas using in-house and third party technology tools.

For our colleagues, we enable management and analysis of data, optimise and automate processes to deliver efficiency and manage engagement support work. For our clients and communities, we help identify, determine and fulfil tax, duty and similar obligations. We do this efficiently and ethically, using cutting edge technology. We manage technology as a strategic resource, applied at all stages of the client lifecycle. We use technology to generate competitive advantage for KPMG, and securely unleash the power of our data. Our team includes specialists in solutions and automation, product development, application support, operational excellence, software engineering and quality assurance.
