SAP Data & Analytics Architect - Senior Manager will lead enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives leveraging SAP’s modern analytics stack, including SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP HANA Cloud. This role requires a blend of solution architecture, client advisory, delivery oversight and ensuring scalable, high-quality data and analytics solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive SAP Data & Analytics strategy aligned to business transformation goals.
  • Lead large-scale digital transformation programs involving SAP BDC, Datasphere, SAC, AI and enterprise cloud data platforms.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
  • Establish best practices, governance frameworks, and delivery standards.
  • SAP BDC for unified data ecosystem and business context integration.
  • SAP Datasphere for data modeling, federation, and virtualization.
  • SAP SAC (BI & Planning) for reporting, dashboards, and enterprise planning.
  • SAP BDC Connect and Data Products framework.
  • Intelligent Applications and Data Packages.
  • Medallion Architecture (including HANA cloud).
  • AI enablement.
  • Design data models (Analytical, Semantic, Business Layer) aligned with business KPIs.
  • Define data integration strategies (real-time, batch, hybrid) using SAP and non-SAP sources.
  • Operational Reporting: S/4 HANA Embedded Analytics, VDM, CDS Views, Extensions, Custom CDS Views.
  • SuccessFactors Reporting, Domains and custom fields enablement.
  • Ensure scalability, performance optimization, and data governance compliance.

Integration & Ecosystem

  • Integrate SAP and non-SAP systems including:
  • Non-SAP systems.
  • Third-party and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks etc.).
  • Leverage APIs, OData, and data pipelines.
  • Understand different migration paths of S/4 transformation journey.
  • Enable real-time analytics and event-driven architectures.

Delivery & Program Management

  • Lead SAP Analytics implementations end-to-end: Requirement gathering, Workshops and Playback sessions, Solution design, Build, Validate and deployment.
  • Oversee Agile/Hybrid delivery models.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.

Pre-Sales & Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to innovation in: AI-driven analytics, Embedded analytics, Data monetization strategies.
  • Build reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks.

Functional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Supply chain Analytics, Sales and Operational Analytics.

Qualifications

  • SAP Certifications (preferred): SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA.
  • Relevant industry certifications in cloud/data platforms are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.

Experience

  • 10–15+ years of experience in SAP Data & Analytics.
  • 5+ years in leadership or senior management roles.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in multi-industry environments (e.g., Retail, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Finance).
  • Exposure to AI/ML integration in analytics.
  • Strong consulting background (Big 4 or global system integrators).
