Roles and Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor, delivering strategic tax advice that directly contributes to their commercial success and long‑term growth.
- Leading and overseeing the team in delivering compliance work and strategic advice to a broad range of clients, helping them to achieve their commercial objectives and navigate complex tax challenges.
- Managing the successful delivery of technically complex advice, including tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, pre/post transaction reorganisations, BEPS Pillar 2 assessment and implementation, tax authority enquiries, and providing complex technical support to the wider corporate tax team (e.g., on hybrid mismatches).
- Being a role model for KPMG’s values, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Seeking out and pursuing opportunities with targets, actively participating with Directors and Partners in business development activities to expand our market presence.
- Managing proposals for new work, including delivering compelling tender documents, presenting at client pitches, and identifying innovative solutions for client issues.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and operational excellence of the Corporate Tax team, including effective resource planning and performance management.
- Take ownership of developing the next generation of tax professionals, acting as a mentor and leader, fostering their technical skills and career growth.
- Liaising with specialists in other departments and overseas offices to oversee their input into multidisciplinary tax advisory projects.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualified.
- Proven and excellent corporate tax technical knowledge, with a dedication to continuously develop and apply expertise to provide insightful and commercially astute advice.
- International and complex experience desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and lead staff, as well as effectively manage senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills (interpersonal, oral, and written), enabling effective client engagement, team leadership, and cross‑functional project success.
- Inquisitive mind with meticulous attention to detail.
- Well‑developed analytical skills and a strong commercial approach to resolving complex issues and providing pragmatic advice.
