We are looking for Managers with strong UK Corporate Tax Compliance experience to build client relationships, develop junior staff and provide excellent client service.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure tax computations are prepared to a high standard, on time, and submitted to HMRC within agreed deadlines.
- Keep clients informed on developments within Corporate Tax that may affect their businesses, including new legislation implications.
- Oversee the work of junior colleagues, providing coaching and technical guidance as part of the review process.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues, review technical analysis, and involve specialists as appropriate.
- Respond to client requests for ad‑hoc technical advice and work with KPMG specialist teams to deliver an excellent, coordinated service.
- Build and develop positive constructive relationships within your team, across KPMG, and with the client base.
- Support clients with group reporting needs and tax audit work where appropriate.
- Manage aspects of the team’s operations and performance, including coaching, career management and technical support for other team members.
- Follow KPMG best practice and policy.
- Build the reputation of KPMG through quality of work, knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge and Experience
- Strong UK Corporation Tax experience, including reviewing computations and returns, and acting as a client liaison through the compliance process.
- Knowledge of tax accounting (FRS 102; IFRS desirable but not essential).
- Ability to analyse problems, identify core issues and demonstrate curiosity around new ideas and approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication.
- Take personal responsibility and accountability for own work.
- Sustain a high level of drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude that translates across the team.
- Excellent teamwork and organisational skills, including monitoring timetables and budgets.
