Summary of Role Purpose

As a Senior Manager within KPMG’s Digital Health team, you will take a seniorleadership role in helping healthcare organisations deliver meaningful, measurableadoption of digital health technologies on the frontline.

The role is focused on turningdigital investment into sustained clinical, operational, workforce and financial valuethrough adoption, change, implementation, optimisation and benefits realisation.

You will work with executive stakeholders across national, regional and providerhealthcare organisations to define future-state digital capabilities, develop transformation strategies and oversee programmes that deliver measurable clinical, operational, workforce and financial outcomes.

The role requires substantial experience leading complex digital adoption, change anddelivery programmes across frontline healthcare environments, including Electronic Patient Record (EPR) deployment and optimisation, clinical workflow redesign, technology-enabled productivity improvement, benefits realisation and supplier or large vendor mobilisation.

You will also play a key role in developing KPMG’s Digital Health capability, includingbuilding propositions, developing reusable methods and assets, coaching juniorcolleagues and helping grow the practice within the wider Technology & Data portfolio.

Description of the role

  • Lead large-scale digital adoption, change and delivery programmes that enablefrontline health and care teams to use technology effectively, safely andconsistently.
  • Develop digital health strategies, adoption plans, transformation roadmaps andimplementation approaches that connect national priorities with provider-leveloperational delivery and frontline clinical workflows.
  • Lead the design and development of major healthcare transformation approaches, frameworks and methodologies, including Centre of Excellence models, reusabledelivery assets and system-wide improvement approaches.
  • Lead and assure EPR-enabled transformation and wider health technology delivery, including deployment planning, readiness, change impact assessment, training, adoption, optimisation, stabilisation, benefits tracking and continuous improvement.
  • Work with large technology vendors, system integrators and supplier teams toshape delivery plans, manage dependencies, challenge progress, resolveimplementation risks and ensure supplier activity supports client outcomes.
  • Translate learning from multiple healthcare organisations into strategicrecommendations, leading practice, thought leadership and reusable transformation models.
  • Design future-state operating models, governance frameworks, service deliverymodels and capability development approaches for digitally enabled healthcare organisations.
  • Advise executive and Board-level stakeholders on digital investment priorities, valuerealisation, transformation risk, organisational change and digital maturity.
  • Lead multidisciplinary client, KPMG and supplier teams across digital adoption, change, clinical engagement, technology delivery, data, cyber, service design andprogramme management.
  • Develop productivity, performance measurement and benefits realisation frameworks that enable healthcare organisations to evidence the value of digitaltransformation.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including agentic AI, automation, Ambient Voice Technology, virtual care, remote monitoring, analyticsand integration platforms, to improve healthcare outcomes and operationalperformance.
  • Support the development of KPMG’s market-facing Digital Health propositions, thought leadership and business development activities.
  • Coach, mentor and develop Analysts, Assistant Managers and Managers, supporting their consulting, technical and leadership development.

  • Build and scale Digital Health capability through development of propositions, reusable delivery methodologies, knowledge assets and thought leadership.

Stakeholder Interaction & challenges

  • Build trusted relationships with executive and Board-level stakeholders acrossnational healthcare bodies, Integrated Care Systems, NHS Trusts and providerorganisations.
  • Navigate complex healthcare environments where operational priorities, workforcepressures, financial constraints, policy requirements and technology transformationobjectives must be balanced.
  • Influence strategic decision-making through the development of evidence-basedrecommendations, executive presentations, transformation strategies and businesscases.

Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of complex Digital Health transformationand adoption programmes, including quality, commercial performance, suppliermanagement, stakeholder satisfaction, benefits delivery and risk management.
  • Support growth of KPMG's Digital Health practice through business development, proposition development, market engagement and strategic client relationships.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, quality assurance and risk management processesare embedded across engagements, whilst supporting clients to establishsustainable transformation and value realisation approaches.

The Person

Essential experience

  • Significant experience leading complex digital adoption, change and technologydelivery programmes across provider, regional or national healthcare environments, with a clear focus on frontline clinical and operational adoption.
  • Deep understanding of the NHS landscape, including NHS England priorities, Integrated Care Systems, Trust-level challenges, provider operating models and theimplications of national digital health policy.
  • Experience designing and developing transformation strategies, deliveryframeworks, Centre of Excellence models or strategic approaches that supportlarge-scale healthcare transformation.
  • Strong experience supporting or leading EPR-enabled transformation and widerhealth technology implementation, including deployment, readiness, changemanagement, adoption, optimisation, stabilisation, benefits realisation andproductivity improvement.
  • Experience working with major technology vendors, system integrators orimplementation partners, including shaping delivery plans, managing supplierdependencies, challenging vendor assumptions and ensuring delivery remainsaligned to client outcomes.
  • Experience engaging frontline clinical, operational and corporate teams tounderstand workflow impact, remove barriers to adoption and support sustainedchanges in ways of working.
  • Experience translating learning from multiple healthcare organisations into reusabledelivery models, leading practice, recommendations and improvement frameworks.
  • Experience designing operating models, governance frameworks, service deliverymodels and transformation approaches for digitally enabled healthcareorganisations.
  • Experience developing productivity, performance measurement, benefits realisationand value tracking approaches for digital health programmes.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare technology ecosystems, including EPRsystems, Ambient Voice Technology, virtual care, remote monitoring, analyticsplatforms, integration technologies, automation, AI-enabled tools and emergingdigital health innovations.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence and advise executive and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams across strategy, transformation, technology, programme delivery, change and data.
  • Strong people leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring and developingjunior colleagues across multiple grades and disciplines.
  • Experience building consulting capability through proposition development, reusable delivery assets, thought leadership, knowledge sharing and training.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience supporting sales, businessdevelopment, proposal development and market development activities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional Power Point capability, including the ability to develop clear, compellingand visually effective Board-level and executive-level materials.
  • Advanced Excel, analytical, modelling and business case development capability.
  • Experience using Gen AI and agentic AI tools to improve delivery efficiency, analysis, content development, proposition development and client outcomes.
  • Ability to operate at sustained levels of high quality, provide leadership in complexenvironments and support others to deliver under pressure.
