Prefer to be on the tools instead of on the road? Want to get home every night? Like the idea of having a consistent, stable income instead of jumping from contract to contract? This is the Electrician role for you…
The job itself is fairly straightforward - you will be working as part of a team to look after the electrical maintenance of Luton Parkway train station and new DART site, which connects the station to Luton airport. You will be supported by an experienced Electrician to run PPMs; doing fault finding, diagnosis and repair on reactive works; maintaining the equipment's compliance and getting involved in wider facilities projects to add some variety. The main difference here is that because it’s site-based you will be able to invest long-term in the equipment and take real pride in your work.
This is a shift based position but only Monday and Friday; 6am - 10pm so you will get home every night and keep weekends free.
Requirements
- To hit the ground running you will need to have an electrical background and trade qualifications.
- At present the DART site is still under construction so experience on site would be ideal but, once we’re up and running, it’s going to be maintenance work.
Benefits
- £27k - £32k basic salary (dependent upon experience)
- On call and overtime allowance
- 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- Retail discount scheme
