We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Gas Engineer to be based at Lakenheath on a large site with some travel to another site in Mildenhall and one in Feltwell. You will work as part of a large on-site team and work across a portfolio of domestic properties on the site including housing, dormitories and flats.
Focussed on ppm and reactive maintenance, you will work on minor pipework and plumbing as well as gas works on the properties such as boilers, domestic heating systems and water heaters. As you will be working in people's houses you must have a high standard of customer service and be good with paperwork. Properties are a mix of voids and occupied, full PPE is provided and a high standard of Covid measures are in place to protect workers.
- Carry out annual maintenance on various types of domestic boilers and systems
- Delivering all planned maintenance work across the portfolio
- Respond to reactive emergency calls to all heating related callouts within emergency and routine KPI response times
- Join the on-call rota, initially 1 in 12 weeks but may go trade specific and will then be 1 in 4 weeks
- Ensure that all reactive calls are closed out in line with our contractual time scales
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and company policy (Fire Regulations, COSHH, Safe Working Practices, PPE, etc)
- Carry minor pipe work, pump replacements and water heater repairs replacements

The ideal applicant will come from a hands-on background themselves and have experience managing a team. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified Domestic Gas Engineer - ideally with LPG certification OFTEC preferred (not essential)
- Good knowledge and background on domestic boilers and heating systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual
- Remains calm under pressure and has the confidence of their colleagues and can communicate effectively at all levels
