Key Responsibilities
- Deliver both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial sites.
- Gain hands‑on experience with air conditioning systems (split, VRV/VRF, AHUs, FCUs), commercial refrigeration systems, HVAC plant and associated controls, fault‑finding, diagnostics, and system optimisation.
This is a field‑based role offering variety, autonomy, and the chance to work within a professional, customer‑focused engineering team.
Maintenance & Operations
- Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance in line with SFG20 standards and contractual KPIs.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain AC and refrigeration systems.
- Take ownership of jobs from initial call‑out through to completion.
Technical & Compliance
- Carry out fault diagnosis using appropriate tools and methods.
- Produce clear, accurate technical reports and service documentation.
- Maintain F‑Gas records, logbooks, and compliance documentation.
- Update job progress via CAFM systems or mobile devices.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety (HSEQ) and industry regulations.
Client & Team Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clients and site stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams and management.
- Deliver a professional, customer‑focused service.
Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
- Manage materials and spare parts effectively.
- Identify risks, faults, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Flexibility
- Support overtime and additional works as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an AC / Refrigeration Engineer.
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
- F‑Gas Certification (City & Guilds 2079 or equivalent).
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience in commercial environments.
Desirable
- Experience with VRV/VRF systems, chillers, and AHUs.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems or mobile job management tools.
- Additional HVAC or electrical qualifications.
