Kpler is seeking an experienced Engineer, ready to step into management and lead our Insight crew, the team responsible for the systems that power Kpler's written content authoring and delivery. This full-stack team owns both the authoring platform and the front-end experiences that bring our content to clients worldwide.
You will:
- Guide a talented group of engineers working across a modern stack including TypeScript, Strapi, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Lead and support a cross-functional team in building and maintaining the Insight authoring and delivery platforms.
- Ensure reliable delivery, high technical quality, and continuous improvement of our content systems.
- Balance hands-on technical guidance with strong people management, helping engineers grow while maintaining focus on outcomes.
- Drive technical excellence across the stack, from infrastructure to front end.
- Partner with Product and Content stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver value.
- Establish and evolve best practices for software development, CI/CD, and cloud operations.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
- Coach and mentor engineers, providing regular feedback and career development support.
- Ensure operational excellence, including system reliability, scalability, and security.
It will be a match if you have:
- Circa 5-8 years' experience as a Software Engineer (3+ years as a Senior Engineer).
- Proven experience with Engineering leadership responsibilities, with the desire to step into a managerial position.
- Solid background in full-stack development (TypeScript) and cloud infrastructure (Terraform and Kubernetes).
- A willingness to contribute to code where needed.
- Strong technical judgment with the ability to challenge and guide architectural decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for developing people and building healthy, motivated teams.
