  • Proactively source and onboard new data partners from the chartering and broking ecosystem across oil, gas, and related energy commodities.
  • Handle approvals of requests from sales team to sell data to non-end users of data.
  • Leverage established industry relationships to access commercially sensitive and opaque data sources, building trust and credibility with partners.
  • Maintain regular partner engagement to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent data delivery, working with the Partnerships Data & Success Manager where required.
  • Represent the company at regional shipping, broking, and energy events, strengthening owner and broker relationships and identifying new partnership opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing insight into regional chartering behaviour, trade flows, and market dynamics, highlighting implications for data coverage and product development.
  • Work closely with regional Sales teams to support commercial opportunities, align partnerships with customer needs, and understand competitive positioning.
  • Support Data Operations by responding to critical requests, coordinating follow-ups with owners and brokers, and helping maintain data quality and continuity.
  • Deliver platform demonstrations and product updates to existing and prospective partners, reinforcing the commercial value of collaboration.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for partner queries, resolving issues efficiently and feeding market intelligence back into Product and Data teams.
Required Experience & Background
  • Experience working in commercial shipping or commodity markets, with direct exposure to ship owners, brokers, or chartering teams.
  • Proven experience sourcing data or intelligence through partnerships with owners, brokers, charterers, or commercial operators.
  • Established network across ship owners, commercial managers, ship brokers, and chartering desks.
  • Strong understanding of chartering practices, freight markets, cargo movements, and trade flows, and how these translate into market intelligence.
  • Experience managing long-term industry relationships involving sensitive commercial information.
  • Ability to operate effectively in opaque or fragmented markets, navigating cultural, language, and regulatory complexities.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • High credibility with ship owners, brokers, and chartering professionals.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a trust-based, commercially minded approach.
  • Proactive business development mindset with the ability to identify and unlock partnership opportunities.
  • Clear communicator, able to translate chartering and market insight into actionable internal inputs.
  • Collaborative working style across Partnerships, Sales, Product, and Data Operations.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for regional outcomes.
  • Resilient and adaptable, comfortable operating in fast-moving and relationship-driven markets.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Maritime Studies, Shipping, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in the commodities, shipping, logistics, or market intelligence industry.
