The Opportunity

This is a high-impact senior role at the heart of our operations. You will lead the full project lifecycle across our security service portfolio from contract mobilisation and budget management to performance analytics and client engagement. You will work alongside senior leadership to drive strategic improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver measurable value across all operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project & Operational Management
  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of business and operational projects across all security contracts.
  • Oversee multi-site security operations, ensuring consistent service quality and performance standards.
  • Manage contract mobilisation, client onboarding, and transition of new accounts.
  • Develop and maintain a centralised security knowledge base, including policies, procedures, and operational references.
  • Financial Oversight & Budget Control
    • Own project budgets - tracking spend against forecasts, controlling costs, and identifying efficiency opportunities.
    • Develop robust business cases for new security investments and operational changes.
    • Conduct financial performance reviews, providing clear and accurate reporting to senior stakeholders.
    • Manage large-scale programme budgets with strong data management and business analysis capabilities.
  • Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks across all projects.
    • Ensure full compliance with SIA regulations, UK security standards, and relevant audit requirements.
    • Lead incident management processes and provide operational support during crisis or critical events.
    • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement through structured audit and review processes.
  • People, Resources & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Design and implement effective staffing models, deployment planning, and resource allocation frameworks.
    • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
    • Provide strategic recommendations to evaluate and improve existing project frameworks and service delivery.
    • Contribute actively to business development initiatives and revenue growth strategies.

    Essential

    • Proven experience in project management and operations management within national and/or international organisations.
    • Demonstrable track record of managing complex budgets and delivering projects on time and within cost.
    • Solid experience working in security, risk management, or regulated operational environments.
    • Strong capability in managing multi-site operations and geographically dispersed teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
    • Sound knowledge of SIA regulations, UK security legislation, and industry compliance standards.
    • Experience conducting risk assessments, business analysis, and incident management.
