We’re hiring for an experienced Welder to join a skilled workforce at an ultra-modern manufacturing facility based in Stockport. You’ll be part of a long-term workforce with full training, job stability, and a clear progression route. What’s on offer? * £20+ p/h * Mon – Thu | 7am – 3:30pm (early finish on Fridays) * Full training & coding scheme (4-6 weeks) * Long-term, multi-million pound contracts * 7% employer pension contribution * Unionised workplace with supportive management * Modern manufacturing facility with canteen What will you be doing as a Welder? * Following all Health & Safety policies and identifying hazards before starting work * Reporting equipment faults or unusual issues via approved procedures * Welding using MIG, MAG, TIG, Stick and other processes to high standards * Interpreting drawings and weld procedures to deliver work to European specifications * Operating hand tools and precision measuring instruments * Completing regular European welder re-qualification tests * Maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues at all times What do you need? * Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment * Previous experience with MIG Aluminium Welding * Minimum of grade C in English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent experience * Knowledge of key production processes and procedures * The ability to meet deadlines, be flexible, dependable and time conscious and to work with minimum supervision * Team worker and ability to work under own initiative * Accurate and consistent performer with an eye for detail * Ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions Apply now to join one of the region's most advanced engineering teams, or speak with Josh at KPJ Group for more information between 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday.
