Quality Engineer in Stockport

We\’re hiring for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an engineering company based in Stockport who boast an attractive reputation and extremely exciting future. Producing high quality jigs and fixtures for a diverse range of industries, this is a business that provides an excellent variety of work for their employees along with a supportive working environment.

What will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?

Inspecting machine parts and assemblies to meet drawings and customer specifications

Supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining the QMS

Servicing and calibrating inspection equipment (including laser trackers and CMMs)

Providing operator training to recognised standards

Working collaboratively with production, estimating, and sales teams

Advising on capital investments to implement the latest technologies

Actioning NCRs using 8D problem‐solving methods

What do you need?

A trained internal auditing certification or relevant experience

Previous time served as a machinist or toolmaker (desirable)

Leica or Faro experience (desirable)

Lean and six sigma experience (desirable)

Previous experience working within a precision engineering environment (desirable)
