Responsible Welding Coordinator

We’re hiring for a Responsible Welding Coordinator to join a globally recognised engineering group at their Stockport site. As part of a skilled quality team, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the welding quality management system, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards while supporting day-to-day welding operations and audits. What’s on offer? * £60,000 – £65,000 per year * Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 3:30pm (early finish on Fridays) * 4-6 weeks training scheme that will see you gain your codings * Attractive pension scheme (7% employer 4 % employee) * Job stability and progression (10+ year multi-million-pound contracts) * Onsite parking and canteen * Unionised workplace * Hands on and supportive management What will you be doing as a Responsible Welding Coordinator? * Ensuring compliance with welding standards (including EN 1090, ISO 3834 & DIN 2303) * Supporting with production engineering and welding activity across multiple projects * Coordinating welder qualification testing and internal audits * Leading planning of works order data related to welding in SAP * Developing WPSs, SOPs, and internal documentation * Supporting supplier reviews and ensuring sub-contract welding work meets internal standards * Driving root cause analysis and improvement through RCCA processes * Identifying and implementing changes to enhance quality and performance What do you need? * IWT / EWT qualification and registration with TWI * CSWIP 3.1 certification * A strong understanding of MIG, MAG (SMAW), and TIG (GTAW) welding processes * Experience with ISO 3834, technical drawings, and external audit procedures * Proven background in welding coordination Apply today or speak with Josh at KPJ Group for more information between 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday.
