We are looking for a Quality Manager to join a family-run engineering business in Royton. This is a role suited to someone with strong quality and inspection experience within engineering or subcontract manufacturing, as you will be carrying out inspections, supporting machinists on the shopfloor and managing quality documentation.

What will you be doing as a Quality Manager?

  • Carrying out first-off and final inspections on machined parts
  • Using CMM equipment and PC-DMIS to check finished components
  • Producing inspection reports and certificates of conformity
  • Working with machinists to resolve quality issues on the shopfloor
  • Supporting customer complaints, FAIRs and root cause analysis
  • Keeping quality standards up to date for nuclear and defence work
  • Helping maintain the in-house quality management system
  • Supporting CMM calibration and apprentice development when required

What will you need?

  • Previous quality and inspection experience within engineering or manufacturing
  • Experience carrying out first-off and final inspections
