We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established workshop based in Stockport with steady projects and long-term security.

- Mon – Fri | 8am – 5pm

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?
- Assembling mobile mixers, including installing major components onto HGV chassis
- Building sub-assemblies such as brackets, mounts, pipework, and wiring looms
- Fitting and aligning the mixer’s bucket assembly and associated hydraulics
- Working across hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and light electrical tasks
- Preparing chassis, installing tanks, bolting assemblies, and carrying out mechanical fitting
- Reading and following detailed build procedures and engineering drawings
- Supporting service work, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical rectification or repair
- Undertaking heavy lifting when assembling or installing major components
- Collaborating with engineers, fabricators, and the CAD/CAM team during the build cycle
What we’re looking for:
- Previous engineering or assembly experience
- A strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical fitting
- The ability to read engineering drawings confidently
