We’re hiring for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a precision engineering company specialising in the manufacture of high-quality gears and machine components in Stockport.

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer?
- Responding quickly to machine breakdowns across the production facility
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks
- Fault-finding on mechanical and basic electrical systems
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Completing maintenance paperwork and PPM sheets
- Identifying recurring faults and implementing corrective actions
- Supporting continuous improvement and 5S activities
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop
What will you need?
- NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Time-served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer background
- Previous manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Basic electrical maintenance knowledge
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
