Lead Welder Fabricator in Marple

We\’re hiring for a Lead Welder/Fabricator to join an established metalwork business in Stockport.

This role is perfect for a skilled welder/fabricator who wants more responsibility and the opportunity to step into a future supervisor position.

What\’s on offer?

• £18.50 p/h
• Mon – Fri | 7am – 4:30pm
• Early finish on Fridays
• Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
• 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
• Clear progression route to a supervisory role

What will you be doing as a Lead Welder/Fabricator?

• MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of metals
• Fabricating, repairing, and restoring gates, railings, window frames, and bespoke metalwork
• Working with cast iron, mild steel, copper, wrought iron, and aluminium
• Welding a range of thicknesses up to 20mm
• Day-to-day work in the workshop plus occasional travel to site
• Taking charge on-site once the supervisor sets up the job
• Overseeing small teams both in the workshop and on the road
• Supporting the business with quality, safety, and efficiency standards

What will you need?

• Strong MIG/TIG/stick welding experience
• Previous fabrication experience
• Full UK driving licence
