Overview
We\’re hiring for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join an engineering manufacturer based in Stockport. You\’ll be leading a skilled production team, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and motivated working environment.

What will you be doing as a Manufacturing Supervisor
- Leading your team to deliver products on time and to the required cost and quality standards
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company Health & Safety policies
- Allocating resources effectively to hit production targets, supporting other departments when needed
- Managing attendance, holidays, and sickness in line with company procedures
- Supporting training and development to maintain skills and encourage progression
- Preparing daily production reports to track performance and output
- Maintaining quality standards and resolving any issues or non-conformances promptly
- Running daily briefings to communicate priorities, updates, and key business information
- Keeping KPIs clear and up to date for both your team and management
- Carrying out daily checks to maintain a clean, safe, and visitor-ready working environment
What do you need?
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader position within an engineering environment
- Strong understanding of production processes
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience in quality, safety, and resource management
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. ONC/HNC/NVQ Level 3 or higher) desirable
- Experience within a HGV production environment desirable
