We are hiring for a Plater to join a leading manufacturer based in Tameside. You will work within a skilled fabrication team producing high-quality components for a range of industries. What will you be doing as a Plater?
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to fabricate products accurately to specification
- Forming and assembling steel components using hand and power tools
- Operating equipment including MIG weld tracking, seam weld, grinders, rolling machines, guillotines, auto-feed saws, and punch press
- Carrying out quality inspections to ensure finished components meet required standards
- Working to production targets while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency
What do you need?
- Experience in a similar fabrication or plating role within a manufacturing environment
- Time-served apprenticeship (advantageous)
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
