Credit Controller in High Peak

We’re hiring for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in the High Peak. You'll be responsible for managing credit control activities across UK and international customers, ensuring timely payments, accurate invoicing, and effective management of customer accounts. What’s on offer? * Up to £36,000 per year * Monday – Thursday | 8:30am – 5:00pm * Friday | 8:30am – 12:00pm * 27 days holiday plus bank holidays * Company pension scheme * Bupa Health Cash Plan * Death in service benefit * Company sick pay * Regular on-site physiotherapy * Modern offices and on-site canteen * Potential for hybrid working What will you be doing as a Credit Controller? * Managing cash collection across UK and international customer accounts * Creating and distributing sales invoices and credit notes * Handling customer invoice queries and resolving payment issues * Monitoring customer credit limits and outstanding balances * Managing credit approvals and authorising goods for release * Preparing credit insurance submissions and monitoring cover * Supporting year-end audits and financial reporting * Managing consignment stock invoicing and related processes * Working closely with the wider Finance team to maintain accurate records What do you need? * At least 3 years' experience in credit control or a similar finance role * Previous experience managing customer accounts and chasing outstanding payments * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel * Strong communication and organisational skills * Excellent attention to detail * The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks * Experience dealing with international customers would be beneficial Interested?
