We’re hiring for a Final Assembly Vehicle Fitter to join a leading engineering manufacturer in Stockport. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong mechanical fitting or vehicle assembly background who enjoys working from drawings, solving problems, and being part of a high-quality manufacturing environment.

- Mon – Thu | 7am – 3:30pm (early finish on Fridays)

What will you be doing as a Final Assembly Fitter?
- Assembling and fitting military vehicles and mechanical components
- Working from engineering drawings and work instructions
- Using hand and power tools to complete final assembly tasks
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Supporting testing and problem-solving during the build process
- Working safely and following manufacturing procedures at all times
- Collaborating with production and engineering teams to meet deadlines
What will you need?
- Previous experience in vehicle assembly, mechanical fitting, or HGV fitting
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or similar discipline
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Any experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is beneficial
