We’re hiring for a Field Service Engineer to support mobile, vehicle-mounted machinery across the South of England, with Reading acting as the central hub for this role. This is a practical, field-based role focused on maintaining and repairing specialist mobile equipment on site.
What’s on offer?
- £42k - £45k p/a
- Mon – Fri | 8am – 5pm
- 45 hour week
- Door-to-door pay (standard rate weekdays)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x on Saturdays
- 24 days holiday + bank holidays
- Company vehicle provided (racked & equipped)
- Fuel card
- One overnight stay per week on average (hotel costs covered)
- £25 daily allowance when working away
- 5% pension contribution
- Profit-related bonus (EOT scheme)
What will you be doing as a Field Service Engineer?
- Providing day-to-day warehouse administration support
- Updating records accurately using warehouse or inventory systems
- Supporting stock control, inventory tracking, and order processing
- Handling emails, paperwork and internal communication
- Liaising with warehouse teams to ensure information is up to date
- Using Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting and admin tasks
- Helping keep warehouse operations running smoothly
What will you need?
- Previous experience in a field service, plant, mobile engineering, or mechanical repair role
- A full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working independently and travelling for work
