We’re hiring for a Supply Chain Manager to join a specialist engineering business based in Salford, Greater Manchester, supporting a growing operation that delivers bespoke technical solutions.
This is a key leadership role suited to someone who can manage a supply chain team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations.
You’ll be focused on improving systems, strengthening team structure, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and building close working relationships across the business, particularly with Finance.

What will you be doing as a Supply Chain Manager?
- Managing and supporting the supply chain team and overseeing day-to-day supply chain operations
- Improving systems and increasing automation across the department
- Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support planning, reporting, and process improvements
- Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities
- Working closely with the Finance team to improve visibility, accuracy, and collaboration
- Maintaining operational effectiveness while driving continuous improvement
- Supporting purchasing, stock control, supplier management, and wider operational activity where required
What will you need?
- Previous experience managing a supply chain team
- Strong experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- A hands-on approach and willingness to support daily operational activities
- Experience working closely with Finance or commercial teams
- The ability to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A proactive approach to systems, process improvement, and automation
