We are hiring for an Estimating Manager to lead a lively pre-construction function within an established mechanical building contractor based in Salford. With strong project flow, a healthy win ratio and succession planning in place, this is a genuine long-term opportunity with progression toward Director level.

  • Mon - Thu | 8:30am - 5pm
  • Early finish on Fridays

What will you be doing as an Estimating Manager?

  • Leading and managing the estimating department and workload
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting tenders using Trimble estimating software
  • Managing between 200 - 250 tenders annually across mechanical building projects
  • Reviewing tender documentation and producing detailed take-offs
  • Issuing subcontractor and supplier enquiries and analysing returns
  • Building and maintaining client relationships from Stage 3 to Stage 4 design
  • Attending client meetings, pre-tender discussions and contractor engagement sessions
  • Working closely with business development to identify new tender opportunities
  • Mentoring and developing junior estimators
