We’re hiring for an Electrical Fitter to join a specialist manufacturing team based in Hyde, Tameside. You’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly β€” from bespoke systems to customer modifications β€” with opportunities to work on-site and develop your skills.

What’s on offer?

  • Β£15.85 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)

What will you be doing as an Electrical Fitter?

  • Building and wiring control panels to specification
  • Routing, fitting, and securing cables and wiring looms within machinery
  • Connecting and testing motors, sensors, and electrical components
  • Interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to carry out installations
  • Supporting the electrical setup of both rental and customer conveyor systems
  • Conducting basic electrical testing and fault-finding
  • Ensuring all work meets electrical safety standards and quality procedures

What do you need?

  • Time-served with relevant electrical qualifications – including 18th Edition (BS 7671)
  • Proven experience in electrical fitting, panel wiring, or a similar hands-on electrical role
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Understanding of industrial machinery or conveyor systems (advantageous)
