We are hiring for an Electrical Assembler to join a global manufacturing business based in Droylsden. In this role, you will be assembling, testing and packing electrical and electromechanical products, working from engineering drawings and company documentation.

  • £13.50 per hour, rising to £14.00 after 12 weeks
  • Temp to perm
  • Mon-Thu | 8am-4:30pm
  • Friday: 8am-12pm

What will you be doing as an Electrical Assembler?

  • Assembling electrical products
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Using resins, glues and curing agents
  • Assembling optical units, wiring looms, cables and electromechanical components
  • Testing or calibrating assemblies
  • Packing products, from individual items to site kits
  • Handling process materials safely
  • Using computerised assembly, test and stock control systems

What will you need?

  • Electrical assembly or wiring experience
  • Experience with assembly, testing, packing or material handling processes
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, method sheets or samples
  • Confidence using general hand assembly tools
  • IT literacy, including working knowledge of relevant software
