We’re hiring for a Tool Design Engineer to take ownership of tooling design, procurement and day-to-day toolroom activity within a busy manufacturing environment based in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

What will you be doing as a Tool Design Engineer?
- Designing tooling using 2D/3D CAD (AutoCAD / similar)
- Supporting production with tooling repairs, modifications and improvements
- Managing tooling procurement, consumables and critical spares
- Prioritising workload and allocating work across the toolroom team
- Liaising with internal teams, customers and subcontractors
- Supporting new product introduction and tooling development
- Producing CAD data and programs to support machining processes
- Maintaining tooling records, drawings and ERP systems
- Supporting inspections, calibration and quality standards
What will you need?
- Strong background in tool design, toolroom, or production tooling
- Experience using CAD (AutoCAD / Inventor or similar)
- Understanding of materials, machining processes and tooling lifecycles
- Experience leading or supporting a small team
