We’re hiring for a Design Estimator to join a growing technical contracting business based in Blackburn. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in fire alarm estimating and system design who enjoys a varied role combining technical drawings, site surveys, estimating, and client interaction.

What will you be doing as a Design Estimator?
- Producing fire and security system designs and technical drawings
- Preparing and submitting estimates and tenders
- Carrying out site visits and surveys
- Using AutoCAD to create compliant system layouts
- Working to British Standards and fire categories
- Supporting warm enquiries and tender opportunities
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Reviewing quotations with the wider team before submission
What will you need?
- Previous experience in estimating/design within Fire & Security
- Good understanding of fire alarm systems and British Standards
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage projects and workload independently
