We’re hiring for a Design Estimator to join a growing technical contracting business based in Blackburn. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in fire alarm estimating and system design who enjoys a varied role combining technical drawings, site surveys, estimating, and client interaction.

  • Mon – Fri | 8:30am – 4:30pm

What will you be doing as a Design Estimator?

  • Producing fire and security system designs and technical drawings
  • Preparing and submitting estimates and tenders
  • Carrying out site visits and surveys
  • Using AutoCAD to create compliant system layouts
  • Working to British Standards and fire categories
  • Supporting warm enquiries and tender opportunities
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Reviewing quotations with the wider team before submission

What will you need?

  • Previous experience in estimating/design within Fire & Security
  • Good understanding of fire alarm systems and British Standards
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage projects and workload independently
